Privacy Policy
Information about calculator use, contact messages and technical site operation.
Calculator use
BuildNumeris calculators perform their quantity calculations in the visitor's browser. The values you enter — dimensions, spacings, prices, coverages — are processed by the page itself to produce the displayed result. The basic tools require no account, set no login and maintain no project database. Nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted to the site's hosting, and closing the tab ends the session completely. Users should still avoid entering unnecessary personal information into calculator fields; dimensions and prices are all any tool needs.
Contact messages
The contact form sends the name, email address, subject and message you supply through the FormSubmit delivery service to the site's mailbox. This information is used for responding to the inquiry, investigating a reported calculator problem or considering a suggested tool. Visitors should not submit passwords, financial information or sensitive personal data through the form. Email delivery runs through your own email provider, whose handling of messages is governed by that provider's policies as well.
Technical information
The hosting environment may process the technical information needed to deliver and protect any website: requested pages, timestamps, browser characteristics, approximate network region and similar server logs. The exact logs, their purposes and their retention periods depend on the hosting provider and its operational policies. BuildNumeris itself sets no cookies, loads no analytics scripts and embeds no third-party trackers in the current version.
What the site does not do
BuildNumeris does not sell or rent personal information, does not run advertising networks, does not build behavioral profiles and does not require accounts. Because calculators run locally, there is no measurement history to lose, export or request — the site simply never collects it. This section is written to describe the site as it exists today rather than as a generic policy template.
Third-party services
If analytics, advertising, embedded services, newsletters or other third-party systems are added later, this policy should be reviewed and updated before those systems are deployed, and their own privacy practices would then also apply to the data they collect. The current static build deliberately avoids such dependencies, which is also why the pages load quickly.
Data retention
Information submitted through contact channels should be retained only as reasonably necessary for responding to legitimate requests, maintaining records of reported site issues or meeting applicable obligations. Email and hosting providers may retain message and technical information according to their own policies. Calculator entries are not retained at all, because they never leave the browser.
Security
The site is served as static pages over standard web hosting, which minimizes the attack surface available to any website: there is no database of visitor records to protect because there is no database. Contact messages travel through ordinary email infrastructure, so sensitive material should not be sent by this or any similar form.
Children
BuildNumeris is a professional estimating tool and is not directed to children, and no age-related information is collected. The subject matter — construction quantities — is written for adults working on or studying building projects.
Your choices
You can use every calculator without providing any information. Contact is optional and its contents are under your control. Because no profiles are built, there is nothing to opt out of beyond simply not sending a message.
Changes to this policy
Privacy practices may change as the site changes. The policy should be reviewed whenever new data collection, advertising, accounts or third-party services are introduced, and material changes should be reflected here before they take effect.
How contact email travels
Submitted messages travel over HTTPS to FormSubmit, which forwards them to the site's mailbox. FormSubmit's own service terms apply to the relay itself, while the website stores nothing: there is no message database, no attachment storage and no server-side processing on this site. Visitors should still avoid including sensitive or confidential material in messages.
Cookies and do-not-track
The current site sets no cookies of any kind — no session, preference or analytics cookies — and runs no advertising or measurement scripts, so do-not-track and similar browser signals require no special handling. If third-party features are ever added, this section will say so before they go live.
International visitors
The site may be hosted in a country different from the visitor's own, and ordinary delivery of a page involves network providers in between. Nothing in the site's design collects location or identity information; generic hosting logs are the only records the delivery chain creates.
Summary at a glance
- Calculator entries: processed in your browser only, never sent anywhere.
- Accounts, logins, saved projects: none exist.
- Cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking: none on the current site.
- Contact form: relayed over HTTPS by FormSubmit to the site mailbox; nothing stored on this site.
- Server-side visitor records: only whatever generic hosting logs the provider keeps.
- Selling or sharing personal data: not part of this site's operation.
- Calculation history: kept only by your own browser, never by the site.
Your browser, your data
Because calculator entries live only in the page, refreshing or closing the tab clears them, and the browser's back button may briefly show your previous entries — that is local browser behavior, not site storage. Anyone with access to your device can see values left on screen, so shared or borrowed devices should be closed or reloaded before handing them over. Clearing site data in the browser removes nothing more, because nothing more was kept.
Questions about this policy
Privacy questions can be sent through the contact page. If a future feature would change any bullet in the summary above, the policy will be updated before that feature is deployed rather than after.
Responsible use
Visitors should provide only the information necessary for their purpose. Construction measurements can normally be discussed without identifying a private individual or property owner, and project-identifying details are never needed to report or discuss a calculation.
